If you like the VES PROJECT and want to support it, you can use PayPal to make a donation by clicking the DONATE button below. THANKS !

The VES Project is an independent research initiative that needs funding to continue researching and writing the life stories of the Venezuelan STEM migration.

Foreign scientists and engineers were instrumental in the development of scientific institutions in Venezuela. However, their life stories are not known. The story of these foreign STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) professionals can serve as role models for new generations. Moreover, these foreign STEM professionals were, directly or indirectly, responsible for the education and training of many Venezuelan scientists and engineers who have now emigrated to the United States and other countries.

In Anglo-American societies, these Venezuelan scientists and engineers are now considered to be Hispanics STEM professionals of Venezuelan origin. Throughout the United States and Canada, Hispanics are poorly represented in STEM careers and they need to have a variety of role models to look up to.

At VES PROJECT, we think that these scientists and technologists originally from Venezuela can also serve as excellent role models for Hispanic youth. But, their life stories are as well unknown.  Rescuing these memories and building biographical profiles of the valuable STEM migration in and out of Venezuela is the main mission of the VES PROJECT.

Muchas gracias y saludos.
